MULTI-COLOURED BIRDS IN MADRID

WHAT ABOUT SEEING: 
BEE-EATERS, ROLLER, HOOPOE OR GOLDEN ORIOLE.


Why do not try to see them all together in the same field trip? Well, this is not always possible, it depends on the selected trip and other conditions. It can be easier than you think, in the proper season (late spring and summer)


These fantastic birds would be in Spain mainly during the summer season. Last summer, we have localized Eurasian Roller as well.










One good place to observe them is south-west Madrid (territory of spanish Eagle and vultures too). We watched these fantastic birds very close to each other. They are the favourites of more than one amateur.


Another good place to see them is in El Monte de el Pardo, place situated in a wooded parland, by road 17 km from Madrid City center (amazing). This area of some 16,000 hectaries, situated to the north of Madrid, is also a royal Palace. It is a very important natyre reserve as it is one of the last aras of the original mediterranean forest in Spain. Even today it contains considarable ecological treasures.
